The origins of this beautiful resort stretch back to 1950 when Gill Powell, a wildlife cinematographer, purchased 300 acres of land and built a home that often hosted the “Bad Boys” of Hollywood. After his death in 1974, the property was aquiered by John Ireland who eventually started construction on the existing hotel in 1984.
Rancho Leonero offers a variety of rooms with incredible vistas of the Sea of Cortez. The ranch is ideal for vacationers that are looking for a taste of the old style Baja experience and who prefer a remote, tranquil location.
The resort is located overlooking a great reef for fishing, snorkeling and kayaking. The food is excellent and included with your stay.
